Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with diabetes are those whose fasting glucose levels are more than or equal to 126 mg/dl, their random blood glucose levels are more than or equal to 200 mg/dl, their HbA1c is more than or equal to 6.5%, their 2-hour blood glucose on a 75-gram oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) is more than or equal to 200 mg/dl, or they are currently receiving hypoglycemic medication.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: •Pregnant or planning for pregnancy, breastfeeding mother •Enrolled in other clinical trials •Have active malignancy or are under investigation for malignancy •Have a history of any of the following medical conditions- ?Cushing syndrome ?HIV ?Chronic kidney disease (CKD) ?Chronic liver disease ?Hyperthyroidism ?Alcohol and/or substance abuse. •Currently taking any of the following medications- ?Psychiatric medication ?Anti-diabetic medication ?Weight-loss medication ?Oral steroids •Unable to participate due to other factors.
