Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Conscious patients diagnosed with GBS admitted to ICU

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal of consent to participate in the study 2. Patients with hearing deficits or psychiatric illness precluding assessment 3. Patients with known sleep disorders before ICU admission

MeasureTime frame
To comprehensively assess the burden of sleep disturbance using EEG in GBS patients admitted to the ICUTimepoint: 1. EEG assessment will be done on day 2 of ICU admission 2. EEG assessment will be done on day 5 of ICU admission 3. EEG assessment will be done on day of discharge from ICU

MeasureTime frame
1. To correlate the quality & quantity of sleep assessed using EEG with sleep questionnaire 2. To evaluate the effect of night tine sleep disturbance on ICU delirium, weaning from ventilator & patient satisfaction 3. To assess the temporal sleep changes during ICU stay 4. To assess the impact of ICU environment like noise & sound on the quality & quantity of sleep 5. To assess the impact of disturbed sleep in ICU on long term sleep quality using a sleep questionnaire at 3 months after discharge from ICUTimepoint: Sleep questionnaire will be performed on day 2 of ICU admission Sleep questionnaire will be performed on day 3 of ICU admission Sleep questionnaire will be performed on day 5 of ICU admission Sleep questionnaire will be performed on day 6 of ICU admission Sleep questionnaire will be performed one day prior to discharge from ICU Sleep questionnaire will be performed on the day of discharge from ICU Sleep questionnaire will be performed at 3 months after discharge from ICU via phone call
