Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with age above 18years ASA physical status I and II posted for lower abdominal and lower limb surgeries under sub arachnoid block.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients with coagulopathy. patients with spinal deformities

Primary

MeasureTime frame
to compare the efficacy of dexmedetomidine and tramadol in treatment of shivering following sub arachnoid block.Timepoint: to compare the efficacy of dexmedetomidine and tramadol in treatment of shivering following sub arachnoid block.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
to determine the incidence of adverse events like hypoxia, bradycardia,sedation, nausea and vomiting.Timepoint: post operatively monitoring for 6th hourly and 12th hourly.
