Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with ALBP lasting 6weeks or less 2.Have pain extending in an area between the twelfth rib and buttock crease (this may or may not be accompanied by leg pain) 3.VAS score is at least 3
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Presentation of red flags or yellow flags as defined by the Clinical Standards Advisory Guidelines 2.Pain lasting more than 6 weeks. 3.Pregnancy, psychological illness. 4.Underwent same intervention during the last 1 month. 5.Contra-indications to acupuncture or previous acupuncture treatment; conflicting or ongoing treatment. 6.Unwillingness to participate in the study
