Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The placentas of confirmed diagnosed cases of GDM Pregnant females according to DIPSI criteria, with gestational age from 28 weeks to 42 weeks, with prior informed consent, who were on treatment by diet or oral or insulin, without any pre-gestation DM, either by vaginal or caesarean section will be included as study group in the study. DIPSI criteria - is a single step procedure irrespective of the last meal, 75g of anhydrous glucose in 250-300 ml of water is given to women attending the OPD and plasma glucose will be estimated after 2 hours. If after 2 hours plasma glucose is = 140mg/dl then, diagnosed as GDM
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The placentas of pregnant females with pathological conditions like hypertension, anemia, and any other systemic or endocrine disorders will be excluded.
