Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients presenting with signs and symptoms of Gambhi¯ra Va¯tarakta. 2. Patients presenting with I,II, III stages of the modified Ficat and Arlet classification of Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral head. 3. Patients who are eligible for Jalu¯ka¯vasecana and vasti.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients below the age of 20 and above the age of 60 years. 2. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension and other major systemic illness. 3. Patients with stage IV of the modified Ficat and Arlet classification of Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral head. 4. Patients who are not eligible for Jalu¯ka¯vasecana and vasti. 5. Patients who are suffering from coagulopathies.

To evaluate the efficacy of jalu¯ka¯vasecana followed by ka¯lavasti in the management of gambhi¯ra va¯tarakta (avascular necrosis of the femoral head) by using objective parameters - harris hip score, numeric pain rating scale and HOOS survey. Timepoint: before treatment (0th day)and after completion of treatment (24th day)
