Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients presenting within 48 hours of onset of symptoms. 2. Patients between 18-65 years of age.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy and lactation. 2. Diabetes Mellitus. 3. Dual intra-abdominal pathology. 4. Oesophageal / Gastric surgery. 5. Re-explorations. 6. patient requiring post-operative mechanical ventilation.
