Intervention1: injection dexmedetomidine: 0.75mcg/kg infusion over 10minutes in 100 ml saline before start of surgery . The infusion is given only during the surgery.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patient who are willing to give informed written consen Patients of American society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status class I –II Patient of either gender, aged between 18-60 years. Elective laparoscopic cholecysectomy surgeries under general anaesthesia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patient with history of post operative nausea and vomiting. Patient with history of motion sickness. Patient with cardiac , renal and hepatic dysfunction. including corticosteroids
