Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. Mean SpO2 during flexible bronchoscopy 2. Trough SpO2 during flexible bronchoscopyTimepoint: during the procedure- Spo2- after every minute | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1.Respiratory variables A)Significant oxygen desaturation event (SpO2 below 90% or more than 4% fall of SpO2 from baseline for more than one minute during the procedure) B)Respiratory rate at various time points 2.Hemodynamic variables Heart rate, Systolic blood pressure (SBP), Diastolic blood pressure (DBP) at various time points, occurrence of any arrhythmia 3.Need for FiO2 of approximately 0.9-1.0 to continue the procedure 4.Termination of the procedure due to persistent desaturation in spite of switching to FiO2 of approximately 0.9-1.0 5.Duration of oxygen supplementation requirement after flexible bronchoscopy 6.Total volume of oxygen consumed 7.Ease of bronchoscopy procedure Timepoint: during the procedure- blood pressure- after every 4 minutes respiratory rate- after every 4 minutes heart rate- after every 2 minutes | — |
