Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged between 10 and 60 who fulfill the case definition case definition Cases with painful, single or multiple oral aphthous ulcers having a size less than 10 mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Persons who are currently under medications for aphthous ulcers or taking vitamin B complex supplements. 2. Persons with severe systemic illness. 3. Pregnant and lactating women.

MeasureTime frame
1. To determine the effect of Kali Chloricum in reducing the pain of aphthous stomatitis as assessed by VAS score 2. To determine the effect of Kali Chloricum in reducing the size of an aphthous ulcer, as measured by Williams periodontal probe. Timepoint: 1.Change in VAS score from baseline to 5, 10 and 15 days. 2. Change in the size of the ulcer from baseline to 5, 10 and 15 days.
