Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preterm infants with gestational age less than 28 weeks with hsPDA as defined by: Duct size more than 1.5mm (narrowest internal diameter) Left atrium/aorta more than 1.4 E/A >1 Antegrade left pulmonary artery diastolic flow >30 cm/sec

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Infants having complex cyanotic heart disease or duct dependent cardiac lesion. Infants who were admitted to hospital after 72 hours of life. Antenatal diagnosed lethal congenital anomaly. Maternal tocolytic therapy with indomethacin or another prostaglandin inhibitor within 72 hours prior to delivery.
