Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with type2 diabetes mellitus ASA 1,2 Age between 18 to 75 years belonging to both genders Patients undergoing elective surgery Availability of informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with chronic Renal failure, ischemic heart disease, stroke, diabetic ketoacidosis

MeasureTime frame
To study the perioperative clinical profile in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients receiving different regimes for diabetes control.Timepoint: Pre operative,inta operative,post operative .

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To observe the pattern of control of perioperative blood sugar level in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients undergoing elective surgery.Timepoint: Blood sugar level assessed 24 hours prior to surgery ,intraoperatively & 24 hours post operatively. Complications assessed 7 days post operatively.
