Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients visiting the OPD of Department of Orthodontics with no previous history of orthodontic/orthopedic treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects with bone-related metabolic disorders or skeletal defects 2. Subjects who are under any medications or growth hormone therapy 3. History of xerostomia 4. History of trauma or surgery in area of cervical vertebrae

Development of a novel, indigenously prepared, low cost, rapid, chair side POC diagnostic kit for salivary IGF-1 in estimating the pubertal growth status. The lateral flow based IGF-1 based portable kits will revolutionize the orthodontic sciences in accurately predicting the pubertal growth spurt instantly for successful growth modification procedures. Potential impact: 1.A commercially available chair side diagnostic kit, reducing the treatment planning time 2.Implementing timely intervention through utilization of full growth potential and alleviate the burden of surgical intervention. 3.To identify children with growth hormone discrepancies / delayed growth Timepoint: 1st and 2nd year-Subject enrolment, salivary sample collection 2nd year- Analysis of data and development and testing of POC kit 3rd year- Validation of POC kit
