Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA grade I to III fit patients. 2. Ages between 18-65 years of gender female. 3. Patients undergoing breast cancer surgery: simple mastectomy, modified radical mastectomy, radical mastectomy. 4. Hemodynamically stable patients with all routine investigations within normal limits without any other comorbidities. 5. Patients who are not on any cardiac drugs. 6. Availability of informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with ASA physical status IV and above. 2. Patients below 18 years and above 65 years of age. 3. Patient posted for emergency procedures. 4. Patients with major neurological, cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, renal. Hepatic disease with coagulation abnormalities. 5. Patients with cardiac comorbidities. 6. Patient refusal.

To evaluate and compare the effect of single shot pectoral plane block and serratus plane block for postoperative analgesia following breast cancer surgery.Timepoint: The VAS will also be recorded to assess effect on pain at interval of postoperative 0 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours and 48hours and day5, day 15, day 30 and day 60.

1. To asses and compare the efficacy of PECS 2 block and serratus plane block for postoperative analgesia. 2. Duration of postoperative analgesia in PECS2 and Serratus plane block. 3. To asses efficacy of PECS-2 & Serratus plane block for postoperative analgesia for acute pain 4. Number of rescue analgesics required in the first 48 hour period. 5. To assess efficacy of PECS-2 & Serratus plane block for post-surgical chronic pain (2months). 6. Adverse effects of the block, and if any its management.Timepoint: The VAS will also be recorded to assess effect on pain at interval of postoperative 0 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours and 48hours and day5, day 15, day 30 and day 60.
