Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All the diagnosed cases of fibroadenoma of breast, either by clinically, sonographically or by needle biopsy will be taken up for the study . 2. Female patients belonging to reproductive age group . 3. Size of fibroadenoma in between 1-5 cm measured by USG- BIRADS. 4. Female patients who are free to give written consent for complete follow up during the study period. 5. Fibroadenoma of breast may be single, multiple and or bilateral.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients taking Oral contraceptive pills or any hormonal therapy . 2. Terminally ill patients or patients who are taking medicines for their chronic illness i.e. diabetes mellitus, hypertension, autoimmune diseases. 3. Pregnant women, women who conceived during the study period and lactating women. 4. USG-BIRADS scoring range more than category -3 or any suspicious case. 5. Breast lump with cyclical mastalgia . 6. Any inflammatory diseases of breast . 7. Other condition like fibrocystic disease of breast, phyllode, complex fibroadenoma of breast , giant ( juvenile) fibroadenoma . 8. History of laser or radiation therapy using in target breast. 9. Immune-compromised patient.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
USG-BI-RADS of selected patients is done at baseline and at follow up in every 3rd month and 6th month interval to assess the reduction of the size of the growth.Timepoint: Follow up will be done at every 4 weeks interval for at least 6 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess how fibroadenoma of breast affects individual in their health related quality of life and to evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic regimens through WHOQOL BREF questionnaire.Timepoint: Follow up will be done at every 4 weeks interval for at least 6 months.
