Intervention1: Saliva telomere length: Unstimulated saliva will be collected from the patients having leukoplakia. DNA isolation will be done and qPCR will be conducted. Intervention2: salivary telome

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals diagnosed with oral leukoplakia. Patients with histologically confirmed or diagnosed with oral squamous cell carcinoma. Normal individuals without any oral lesions, matched for age and gender.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with a history of other malignancies. Patients with known immunodeficiency or autoimmune disorders. Pregnant or lactating individuals.

MeasureTime frame
To measure the telomere length in saliva samples from individuals with leukoplakia, individuals with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), and healthy controls.Timepoint: At first visit- baseline

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the salivary telomere lengths between these groups. To determine the diagnostic potential of salivary telomere length in distinguishing between healthy individuals, leukoplakia patients, and OSCC patients. Timepoint: At first visit- baseline
