Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1.To compare the effect of HFNC vs NRBM as a method of preoxygenation on desaturation during endotracheal intubation in children. 2.Time in seconds for desaturation during endotracheal intubation Timepoint: Baseline | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare the following parameters between two groups 1.Median lowest oxygen saturation 2.Median time for lowest oxygen saturation 3.Median highest ETco2 after intubation 4.Number of patients with SPo2 less than 80% 5.Hemodynamic adverse events peri intubation 6.Duration of mechanical ventilation 7.Duration of PICU stay Timepoint: Baseline | — |
