Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.ASA 1-2 patients 2.Between the age of 18-60 years 3.Elective surgeries requiring endotracheal intubation for general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of dexmedetomidine allergy 2.Patients with anticipated difficult airway 3.Patients with unanticipated difficult intubation 4.Laryngoscopic attempt lasting greater than 15 s or more than one attempt

To assess the effect of nebulized dexmedetomidine in attenuating hemodynamic response to laryngoscopy and intubation. Timepoint: At the time of intubation then at 1min,3min,5min,10min interval after intubation
