Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients from age of 4 months-12 years, of either sex, of ASA physical status I and II undergoing elective surgeries under general anesthesia with cuffed endotracheal tube
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: History of upper respiratory tract infections History of bronchial asthma History of congenital heart disease Previous laryngeal or tracheal surgery Patients undergoing airway surgery History of local anesthetic allergy Patients with anticipated difficult airway Patients expected to require postoperative ventilation
