Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Person with Schizophrenia 1. Individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia based on ICD-11/ICD-10 (DCR)/DSM 5 criteria for schizophrenia. 2. Age group between 18 to 45 years. 3. Duration of illness =5 years 4. Minimum education level up to 6th standard. 5. Those who would give informed consent for the study. 6. Stable on antipsychotic medication First Degree Relatives of Schizophrenia 1. Siblings of persons diagnosed with schizophrenia. 2. Subjects aged 18 to 45 years. 3. Those who would give informed consent for the study. 4. Schizophrenia proband also agreeing to participate in the study Normal Control 1. Subjects aged 18 to 45 years. 2. Minimum Education up to 6th standard. 3. Those who would give informed consent. 4. Kessler (K-10) score less than or equal to 19 5. Fifty percent of the participants will be matched on age and education while the other half will be matched with the siblings.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Persons with Schizophrenia 1. History of any comorbid psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders 2. Significant neurological or medical illness. 3. Electroconvulsive therapy in the past 6 months. 4. Unable to comprehend items and task instructions. First Degree Relatives 1. History of any psychiatric disorder. 2. Significant neurological or medical illness. 3. Unable to comprehend items and task instructions Normal Control 1. Present or past history of psychiatric disorder/neurological illness 2. Family history of psychiatric/neurodevelopment disorders. 3. Significant neurological or medical illness. 4. Kessler (K-10) score more than 19. 5. Education below 6th standard.
