Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Healthy young adults with normal hearing sensitivity 2) Both genders 3) Age range: 18-25 years 4) Control group: who do not consume omega-3 fatty acids of the required amount of 2.2 grams/day 5) Case group: who consume omega-3 fatty acids the required amount of 2.2 grams/day.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Individuals taking supplements for omega- 3 fatty acids. 2) Individuals who are on any nutritional diet (e.g., Mediterranean diet, ketogenic diet etc..).

Auditory Processing abilities are measured using: 1) Adaptive Test for Temporal Resolution: Threshold measured in msec to identify the minimum gap required. 2)Dichotic Digit Test: Score measured with Double correct score and Single correct score 3)Spatial Separation Sentence Test: minimum 50% SNR in dB that is requiredTimepoint: All the above-mentioned tests will be assessed at a single point in time.
