Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of either sex scheduled to undergo elective infra umbilical surgical procedure under spinal anaesthesia. Patient giving written informed consent. ASA Grade I and II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient who is part of any other study. Non co-operative patient. Patients with infection at the injection site. Patients with thrombocytopenia or coagulopathy. Patients with allergy to study drug.

MeasureTime frame
Mean time of onset of sensory block. Mean time of onset of motor block. Mean time to achieve T 10 dermatome block. Mean block height at 5 minutes. Mean of maximum sensory level achieved. Mean of haemodynamic parameters (HR,SBP,DBP,MAP). Mean time taken for onset of hypotension. Mean dose of Mephentermine required to correct hypotension. Timepoint: Baseline, Just after SAB,2 min,4 min,6 min,8 min,10 min,15 min,20 min,25 min,30 min,35 min,40 min,45 min,50 min,55 min,60 min,65 min,70 min.
