Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of both sexes, aged between 18-80 years of age, and belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA) category I-II; scheduled for elective surgeries under anesthesia were included in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with pre-existing cardiovascular, pulmonary, or metabolic diseases, bleeding disorders or with history of seizures, neurological, psychiatric disorder on psychotropic drugs, were excluded from study. Also patients undergoing emergency surgery were excluded

Incidence of NREs post implementation of pre-induction anaesthesia checklist.Timepoint: At completion of surgery, just prior to shifting.

MeasureTime frame
1. The time required to perform pre-induction anaesthesia checklist. 2. Classify NRE during anaesthesia care. Timepoint: 1. At the completion of checklist. 2. At completion of surgery, just prior to shifting.
