Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patients having sign and symptoms of Shuskakshipaka (DES ) as mentioned in diagnositc criteria. Any of two diagnostic test from 1. Schirmer test 2. Tear breakup time (TBUT) 3. Ocular Surface Dye Staining should be positive (Among them Schirmer test must be positive) Schirmer test finding should be less than 15 mm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Snehapan Ayogya Any Abhighataj (Traumatic) condition of Netra will be excluded. Any condition of eye which require surgical intervention or other medical treatment within 2 months. Patient having any General debilitating condition will be excluded. Systemic inflammatory diseases: e.g., Sjogren syndrome Chemical injury: e.g., Lime burn or any other Chronic viral infections: e.g., Hepatitis C, HIV Neurological conditions: e.g., Parkinson disease, Bell’s palsy, Trigeminal neuralgia Punctal occlusion: Temporary or Permanent Radiation of the orbit or nearby area Undergoing any ocular therapy Having any ocular allergy Eyelid disorders: Entropion, Ectropion, Lagophthalmos Patient with Thyroid eye disease - Exophthalmos

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To reduce symptoms of Shushkakshipaka like dryness in eyes,burning sensation in eyes,watering from eyes, foreign body sensation in eyes.Timepoint: 21 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
A critical study of disease Shushkakshipaka and DES in detail. To find out common etiological factors of Shushkakshipaka and Dry Eye Syndrome. To study the various classical facts clinically regarding the disease Shushkakshipaka and Dry Eye Syndrome in detail. To assess the quality of life in patients suffering from Shushkakshipaka (DES).Timepoint: 36 days
