Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age between 14-18 years. 2.Patient’s requiring bilateral nonsurgical extraction of maxillary and mandibular premolars for orthodontic reasons. 3. Willingness to follow the investigator’s instructions exactly.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Medically compromised patients. 2.Those with periodontally weak teeth. 3.Those whose premolars were affected by dental caries. 4. Any root canal treated tooth. 5.Patients who were taking drugs which interfere with pain response. 6.Patients who refused informed consent.

To assess and compare the pain post-operatively performed by Periotome and peizotome technique. 5.
