Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing open inguinal hernia repair who are older than 18 years and younger than 60 years. 2. Individuals with unilateral inguinal hernias. 3. Patients having an direct or indirect inguinal hernia 4. Both male and female

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who had hernia repairs in the past. 3. Patients with known diabetes. 4. Patients having any skin conditions above the surgical site. 5. Patients who are not willing for the study.

If Cosmetic outcome is better in N-Butyl cyanoacrylate glue it may be offered for skin closure even though the cost is higher.Timepoint: 18 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the skin closure time, cosmetic outcome, wound dehiscence and wound infection between N-Butyl Cyanoacrylate glue and Nylon suture in Hernioplasty wound closure.Timepoint: 18 months
