Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children with signs and symptoms of bronchitis in the age group 3-10 years ,willing to take part in the study. Children with documented history of chronic bronchitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children clinically diagnosed of other pulmonary diseases or allergies like bronchial asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia etc. Patients on prolonged (6 weeks) medication with corticosteroids, bronchodilators, mast cell stabilizers etc. Investigations are not done to rule out the exclusions. The exclusion is based on clinical features, history of illness along with available investigations.
