Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Probing pockets depth of = 5mm in at least 2 permanent teeth. Clinical attachment level (CAL) loss of = 5mm in at least 2 teeth. Patients who are systemically healthy other than type 2 diabetes patients.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant or lactating female. Allergy to curcumin. Ingestion of systemic antibiotics in last 3 months. Non-surgical periodontal treatment in the past 6 months, or surgical periodontal treatment in the past 12 months. History of radiation therapy in the head and neck region. Use of tobacco in any form Any of periapical pathology. Presence of any acute infection. Presence of subgingival restoration which could interfere with clinical measurements.
