Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of age above 18 years, attending clinical pharmacology OPD. 2. Patient who was diagnosed with CKD (according to their eGFR and the presence of kidney injury as defined by the National Kidney Foundation K/DOQI Guideline).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who disagree to give consent, 2. patient on haemodialysis, 3. Patient with clinical history of active gastro-intestinal diseases, including gastroenteritis and peptic ulcers, liver cirrhosis, 4. Patient with a clinical history of atherosclerotic complications (coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, or peripheral vascular disease), 5. Patient with acute kidney injury (KDIGO Clinical Practice Guideline for Acute Kidney Injury), 6. patient with a clinical history of malignancy including gastric cancer.
