Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients aged 25-45 years with superficial abrasions in maxillofacial region. 2.Patients who report within 24 hours of accident. 3.Subjects who are willing for follow up.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Subjects with uncontrolled systemic illness, immunocompromised patients, collagen disorders and other hematological disorders 2.Pregnant and lactating women. 3.Subjects with active herpes infection. 4.Already infected abrasions. 5.Subjects with alleged history of sensitivity to light. 6.Subjects with unreasonably high expectations. 7.Abrasions in the fracture site. 8.Patients already on any additional drugs other than prescribed by investigator.

| 1. To assess the time taken for granulation tissue formation after application of dressings i.e octenidine dihydrochloride and chlorhexidine gauze dressing. 2. To assess the incidence of post trauma infection of the wound site after application of dressings i.e octenidine dihydrochloride and chlorhexidine gauze dressing. 3. To assess the epithelialization and contracture of wound following 15 days of healing after application of dressings i.e octenidine dihydrochloride and chlorhexidine gauze dressing. 4. To compare the time taken for granulation tissue formation, epithelialization or contracture of wound, pain reduction and incidence of post trauma infection in between Octenidine dihydrochloride and Chlorhexidine gauze dressing in healing of soft tissue abrasions.Timepoint: 2nd day 7th day 15th day | — |
