Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Parturients with American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA)1 and 2 status undergoing elective LSCS under sub arachnoid block and willing to give consent will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Parturients undergoing LSCS under general anaesthesia. Parturients undergoing emergency LSCS. Patients receiving intrathecal additives. Any contraindication to spinal Anaesthesia. Multiple gestation,gestational diabetes mellitus,polyhydramnios. History of spinal deformity or spine surgery. Patients refusing to participate in the study. ASA3/4.

MeasureTime frame
To determine the effects of the anthropometric parameters on the spread of spinal anaesthesia with respect to time taken to achieve T4 level and the maximum level blockade achieved by finding the correlation coefficient.Timepoint: 0,1,2,3,4,5,7,9,11,13,15 minutes

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the effects of the anthropometric measurements on heart rate and blood pressure. To compare the drug dose given conventionally with height weight based formula.Timepoint: 0,1,2,3,4,5,7,9,11,13,15 minutes.
