Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1] Children aged 6-11 years with an acute on chronic onset [Intermittent or persistant bronchial Asthma as per GINA sevearity classification21], irrespective of Gender and Socio-economic status. 2]Children whose parents are willing to give consent and children’s assent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1]Children with acute / Severe complicated bronchial asthma and status Asthmaticus with any one of SPO2 less than 92, cyanosis needing immediate intervention were excluded. 2]Children with Congenital lung or cardiac anomalies. 3]Children with known case of other chronic respiratory conditions like pulmonary tuberculosis, COPD, lung abscess, bronchiectasis.

Assessment will be based on the symptoms like Shwasa krichrata(dyspnea) Ghurghuraka (wheezing) Krichra bhash (difficulty in speech) Kantodwamsa (irritation in throat) Peenasa(coryza) Kasa(cough) Parshwagraha (difficulty in flanks) Nidra nasha (lack of sleep) Asino labhate soukyam (comfort on sitting)Timepoint: 1] 0th day 2] During treatment 1: after snehapana and nebulizatioin with parnaasapanchaka arka. 3] During treatment 2: after virechana 4] After treatment 1: after 30 days of oral administration of parnaasapanchaka kwatha post virechana. 5] After treatment 2: after 15 days of post intervention. total assesments - 5	—
