Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. Correlation coefficient between IL-1a levels and occurrence, extent and progression of external root resorption (ERR) defect if any developed in patients with a history of traumatic dental injury. Timepoint: Baseline, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. Correlation between the type and severity of dental trauma and IL-1a levels in GCF and occurrence of ERR. 2. Calculation of sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) to assess the accuracy of IL-1a in GCF as a predictive biomarker for ERR development in patients with traumatic dental injury 3. Changes in IL-1a levels in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) before and after the appropriate intervention for external root resorptionTimepoint: Baseline,6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months | — |
