Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All ICU patients above the age of 18 years who require therapeutic anticoagulation therapy with heparin will be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Allergy to heparin or previous history of heparin induced thrombocytopenia Platelet count is 100,000/mm or lower. Active, uncontrollable bleed except for disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Administration of thrombolytic therapy within the previous 48 hrs. •Known coagulation disorders
