Intervention1: Dexmedetomidine intervention group: Patients will receive intravenous dexmedetomidine at the rate of 0.5mcg/kg/hr from 10 mins before induction till the removal of gall bladder. Control

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients posted for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy surgeries under general endotracheal anesthesia. 2.American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II. 3.Age: 18 – 60 Years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.patient refusal 2.patient with BMI more than 30 kg/m2 3.Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, cardiopulmonary, renal, metabolic disorders and allergic to study drugs 4. Pregnancy 5. Patients with preoperative HR less than 45/min 6. Patients on antihypertensive medication with any alpha2 adrenergic agonists e.g. clonidine
