Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects aged more than 18 years and above who reside in Wardha and visited the pharmacy outlets to purchase medicine(s) during the study. Individuals participating willingly, voluntarily and providing informed consent. Individuals who have a history of self-medication or those currently engaging in SMP. Individuals who have the cognitive ability to understand and respond to questions and participate in qualitative interviews.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Doctors, and healthcare workers who have knowledge of medications. People who are unwilling to provide informed consent. Individuals below the age of 18 years. Individuals with cognitive impairments. Pregnant or breast-feeding women. Individuals residing outside the geographical boundaries of Wardha, Maharashtra.

The study is expected to provide insights on the prevalence of self medication practices in WardhaTimepoint: Outcome will be assessed at 8 weeks
