Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Individuals who have at least 1 parent in the military (either currently serving or retired) 2. Individuals between 18- 30 years of age 3. Individuals who are currently in a romantic relationship for a minimum of 6 months 4. Individuals engaged in either heterosexual or homosexual relationship 5. Individuals who have completed their schooling in military schools 6. Individuals who have resided in military base or cantonments from 5 years of age to at least 18 years of age 7. Individuals who have experienced relocation at least a minimum of 6 times

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals who have a diagnosed mental health condition 2. Individuals who are married 3. Individuals who have been in a relationship for less than 6 months

MeasureTime frame
The outcome is to reduce stigma and misconceptions by incorporating relationship education into military family support services. It aims to inform policies and support services, contributing to various Sustainable Development Goals such as Good Health, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Reduced Inequality, Sustainable Communities, Peace and Justice, and Partnerships, by investigating the influence of parental rank on romantic experiences of young adults from military backgrounds.Timepoint: 1 year
