Intervention1: birthing ball exercises: after the primi parturient is 5cm dilated,2 sessions of birthing ball exercises 1 hour apart, each lasting for 20minutes. Control Intervention1: Routine standar

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primigravida of age = 18years with period of gestation = 37 weeks with singleton pregnancy with vertex presentation with cervical dilatation = 5cm, in active stage of labor.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women with clinical evidence of cephalopelvic disproportion Malpresentations Multiple pregnancies Previously scarred uterus (post myomectomy, post caesarean) Induced labor Antepartum haemorrhage • Premature Rupture of Membranes Preeclampsia History of medical disorders like cardiac, renal and liver diseases Intrauterine foetal death Oligohydramnios,fetal growth restriction, congenital anomalies in the fetus.
