Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: I) Patients of any gender, between age 20-55 years. II) BMI between 25 to 40 kg/m2 . III) Patients having symptoms of sthaulya i.e swedadhikya, atikshudha, atinidra and anga daurgandhya. IV) Patients willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i) Patients diagnosed with carcinoma, tuberculosis, HIV positive or any other life threatening condition. ii) Patients having any ano-rectal diseases like fistula, fissure-in-ano, hemmorhoids. iii) Pregnant and lactating women. iv) Patients not fit for virechan (Virechan anarha condition).

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Patient BMI comes within normal range which is 18.5 to 24.9.Timepoint: At baseline, 1st week & 4th week

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assesment of pateint based on BMI, WHR, Hip Waist Chest and Mid-Thigh circumference, body weight and lipid profile.Timepoint: Day1 and Day30
