Intervention1: Arterial blood gas sampling: ABG sampling will be done at the start and at the end of surgery to draw conclusion of acid base changes. Control Intervention1: Ringers lactate and Sterofu

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I & II , BMI 18.5-35, patients going elective major surgery under GA or regional anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient’s refusal Renal failure Anomalies of heart Hypervolemic state Severe generalised deems Metabolic acidosis Cardiac or liver failure Electrolytes imbalance Congestive cardiac failure Pregnancy Psychiatric disorders

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
ABG study on preoperative and postoperative samples. Timepoint: ABG study at the start of surgery and at the end of surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Mean arterial BP, HR , arterial oxygen saturation,incidence of hypoglycaemia, intraoperative requirements of vasopressors.Timepoint: BP ,HR ,RR , SPO2 every 5 minutes till 30 minutes then every 15 minutes. Urine output capillary refill time blood glucose level & core body temperature every 60 minutes
