Interventions

Intervention1: Group A: Mundij wa Mus’hil therapy with Nutu¯l: After allocation, each patient in the test group will receive a packet of Mundij i Balgham drugs for one week, followed by another week.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Age between 30 and 65 years 2 All gender 3 Clinically and radiologically diagnosed patients of Knee OA (grade II or III on Kellgren Lawrence grading) 4 Knee joint pain of more than or equals to 4 cm to less than and equals to 8 cm intensity on 10 point VAS scale 5 Barid Malmas (cold on local palpation) 6 Those who are willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Acute knee joint pathology 2 Patients with diagnosed case of Acute gastritis or peptic ulcer 3 Pregnancy and lactation 4 Participants with a diagnosis of significant neurologic or psychiatric impairments would be excluded in view of their difficulty in objectively answering the questionnaire 5 Skin disease at the application site.

Improvement in pain and stiffness using VAS and Lequesne Al-GO Functional Index(LAI) scale.Timepoint: 0, 7th, 14th, 21th and 28th day
