Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Subjects of all gender, age between 18 to 75 years 2.Subjects complaining of at least two or more of the Rome IV diagnostic criteria of functional constipation. 3.Subjects with Constipation Scoring System = 20.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnant women and lactating mothers 2.History of unexplained weight loss (5–10% of body weight in the previous 6 months) 3.Rectal bleeding, rectal change in bowel habit less than 3 months 4.Those with co-morbid illnesses such as severe cardiovascular diseases and chronic renal failure 5.Those with previous gastrointestinal surgeries 6.Subjects with neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, stroke, Hirschsprung’s disease, etc. 7.Subjects with suspected difficulty with defecation in known pelvic floor dysfunction 8.Active local anorectal problems such as anal fissures and bleeding haemorrhoids 9.Subjects diagnose IBS. 10.Subject using an enema.
