Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients with periodontitis with probing depth of greater than or equal to 6mm planning for surgical pocket therapy without osseous surgery as per 2017 classification of periodontal diseases and conditions patients with good oral hygiene maintenance after phase 1 therapy
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: patients not willing to participate in the study medically compromised patients pregnant and lactating women smokers patients who had undergone previous periodontal surgical therapy history of antibiotic intake with in the past 3 months
