Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy Dental students aged 18–30 years with a minimum of 20 teeth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Participants with history of allergy to constituents used in test. 2) Participants currently on antimicrobials or analgesics.

The primary outcome of the study is to evaluate the salivary nitrate, nitrite levels and total antioxidant capacity of saliva of participants in intervention group and comparator group at baseline and after two weeks and thereby find out if the intervention is effective in increasing the salivary nitrates, nitrites and total antioxidant capacity of saliva.Timepoint: baseline and after two weeks
