Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients presenting with the classical signs and symptoms of Sandhigata Vata (OA) according to Ayurveda as well as Modern science. Patients of age more than or equal to 40 years to less than or equal to 70 years of age. Patient is indicated for Snehana and Swedana. Patients indicated for Basti Karma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients less than or equal to 40 years and more than or equal to 70 years of age. Known cases of Gout, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE), Bone TB, Traumatic injuries, Infective arthritis and other serious systemic disorder. Patient is not indicated for Snehana and Swedana. Patient is unfit for Matra Basti (eg. Raktarsha , Bhagandar etc.) Patient having history of knee joint replacement.
