Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients complaining of reduction of sleep time, difficulty with initiation of sleep, wakefulness during normal sleep. 2.Individuals between the age group of 20 to 60 years will be selected. 3.Patient having insomnia of minimum three weeks to maximum 3 months duration are selected randomly for the study. 4.New and old cases currently not under treatment for Insomnia. 5.Persons willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with uncontrolled hypertension and hypotension are excluded. 2.Patients with any psychiatric illness or disorders like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depressive psychosis and under any treatment for any psychiatric illness. 3.Patients with Nidranasha due to acute alcohol intoxication and Abhighata(injury) are excluded. 4.Insomnia associated with physiological conditions like pregnancy, lactation and puerperal stage are leftout from the study. 5.Patient suffering from substance abuse, narcolepsy, a breathing-related sleep disorder, a circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorder, a parasomnia
