Intervention1: Experimental Group- Integrated box breathing and flexibility training along with base line activity and education on perimenopause.: Non medical female faculties from constituent colleg

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Women aged 35-55 years 2)Non- medical female faculties from NITTE deemed to university 3)Women fluent in English speaking 4)Who are willing to participate in the given study 5)Those who experience at least 1 of the perimenopausal symptoms mentioned in the questionnaire 6)Sedentary individuals 7)Stage- 2 of STRAW guidelines: variable cycle with length changes of 7+days from normal cycle 8)Stage-1 of STRAW guidelines: 2 or more missed cycles one lasting more than 60+ days

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: 1)Post- menopausal women 2)Women who are diagnosed with other medical conditions 3)Women undergoing any alternate therapy to overcome these symptoms 4)Those who have practiced box breathing before 5) Chronic menstrual irregularity 6) Abnormal uterine (eg-fibroids) and ovarian (eg-endometrioma) anatomy

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Menopause Specific Quality of Life and Health and Work Questionnaire.Timepoint: Menopause Specific Quality of Life and Health and Work Questionnaire, are the primary outcomes that will be assessed at baseline and at 4 weeks that is after the completion of the intervention. The pre and post scores will be then evaluated.

MeasureTime frame
1)Data collection sheet-demographic details, menstrual history, anthropometric measurements & knowledge & perception on perception. 2)STRAW guidelines- To quantify phase of perimenopause.Timepoint: The study will commence by using STRAW guidelines to quantify the female participants followed by collection of data through data collection sheet. Secondary outcome measures will be used at the baseline of the study. It will be used only once.
