Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children between age group of 7 to 13 years 2. On clinical examination, large carious lesions involving either the occlusal or proximal surfaces, (not more than two surfaces) with normal appearances of gingiva 3. Deep dentin carious lesions will be selected according to clinical ICDAS criteria with score 4 or 5 and ICCMS radiographic criteria with scoring ranging from RA3 (outer one-third dentin) to RC5 (inner one-third of dentin, clinically cavitated) 4. No clinical and radiographic signs and symptoms of irreversible pulpitis such as spontaneous pain/ pain persisting after the disappearance of the existing stimulus/sensitivity to pressure 5. Absence of fistula, swelling, abnormal tooth mobility, radiolucency at interradicular/periapical regions, internal/external tooth resorption

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children suffering from any systemic or severe chronic disease 2. Children suffering from allergy to SDF
