Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 to 60 years 2. Patient on more than 2 antihypertensive drug therapy 3. Patient undergoing elective kidney transplant surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Severe cardiopulmonary disease (2) Patients on beta-blocker therapy (3) Drug or alcohol addiction. (4) Recipient receiving kidney from hypertensive donor (5) Deceased donor recipient

Study the effect of dexmedetomidine intraoperatively on requirement of intravenous antihypertensive agents in patients on dual antihypertensive therapy to maintain BP less than SBP 130 mmHg and DBP 90 mmHg during renal transplant.Timepoint: Baseline Before Intubation Just after intubation 5 minutes after intubation Before reperfusion Just after reperfusion 5 minutes after reperfusion End of surgery
