Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant patients who are American Society of Anaesthesia grade 2-3 Non laboring parturient Gestational age more than 37 weeks

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Any relative or absolute contraindication to spinal anaesthesia Altered spinal anatomy Any previous lumbar vertebral surgery Severe cardiovascular, renal or liver disorders Uncontrolled hypertensive disorders BMI more than 35kg/m2

MeasureTime frame
First attempt success rate of successful spinal needle placement in hamstring stretch position, cross legged sitting position and rider sitting position.Timepoint: First attempt success rate will be assessed till 1 minute of induction of spinal anaesthesia

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Ease of landmark palpation in different positions. Number of needle bone contacts. Number of needle redirections and withdrawal. Patient comfort in different positions. Time taken to achieve successful spinal needle placement. Time taken to achieve sensory block at T6 level. Any complications such as bloody tap, PDPH, back pain. Timepoint: Time taken to achieve successful spinal needle placement. Time taken to achieve sensory block at T6 level.
